Five Things Friday

Because I have 5 things to share, and it's Friday!

1. The CHaD HERO t shirt sales ROCKED! Thank you ALL who purchased a shirt and supported my campaign! Together we raised $255.86 with the sale of 34 shirts and almost $60 in additional donations! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I can't wait to see the shirts around! For those of you who chose to have the shirt delivered to me, I was told I should have them by Friday Aug 21st, so I'll be tracking everyone down over the weekend!
I'm currently working on a tank top to sport all of the sponsor's names and chosen miles, for which I'll wear during my marathon! Question for you all - Anyone have recommendations for a screen printing company or local shop that would print just one shirt? I'd love to hear suggestions!

2. The first of two Margaritas Nights was a fun-filled event with great support! We added another $77.23 to the total funds raised while enjoying each others company ...and the 20oz Dos Equis! ;) Night #2 is coming up NEXT WEDNESDAY Aug 19th at the Margaritas in Keene, NH! Please call, text, email, message me, send me a carrier pigeon, whatever! in order to get a flyer to give to your waiter so they put your purchase toward the fundraiser. I will also have some at the restaurant with me. I was told I cannot hand them out - but you can ask me for one!

3. Cameron got his ankle-foot orthotic (AFO)! Well, he's had it for about 3 weeks now, but its been very difficult for him to wear it for a number of reasons. More on this another time. He doesn't mind wearing it when its on, but I've got to admit, its a pain in the butt to get on and we're currently trying to find shoes that actually fit both feet - one with an AFO and one without, before he starts Kindergarten in two weeks.

4. Cameron starts KINDERGARTEN in TWO WEEKS!
What the...

Gave birth in a Sox shirt - he's destined for greatness.
5. And number five - a little training update. Life has been hectic this summer, some of it good, some of it not so good, but overall, I'm proud of myself for being able to maintain marathon training through it all. I haven't missed a workout yet (knock on wood)! I really think my anxiety and patience levels may have exploded if I hadn't had something else to focus on. As of now, I have matched my longest run ever - 13 miles, twice in the last two weeks. For the first time next week, I will surpass it. I haven't gotten too worked up about the mileage yet, because running 13 miles is not foreign to me. I was able to do two half marathons on back-to-back weekends and not be sore. I even finished the last mile almost an entire minute faster than I completed the first mile last weekend. 15, 16, 18, 20 MILES...those are new numbers for me, but I'm confident in the training I've done so far. I know that building up to where I am now, with the heat and humidity of the summer, will certainly pay off when the mileage ticks up and the temps get a little lower. I'm excited to be halfway through training and on to the last big 8 weeks!

5.1. I'm headed to the Red Sox game this weekend and have to admit that I'm really bummed I wont get to hear Three Little Birds when Shane Victorino gets up. Cheers to you, Shane! Don't worry, about a thing. Cause every little thing is gonna be alright!

5.2. Don't forget to check out my Freekeh Foods review and ENTER THE GIVEAWAY!
